Just weighing your tank to determine how full your tank is can be off by as much as 25%. This is because regulations only stipulate the maximum amount of gas that can be put into the tank. There is no minimum, and most vendors only fill their tanks to between 75% and 90% of the maximum allowable amount.
This app uses a scale, but it’s consistent and, most importantly, its accurate - to 2 decimal places accurate! You can use a $5.00 scale made to weigh a propane tank or the scale sitting on your bathroom floor right now. You dont even have to disconnect the tank from your grill. Just set it on the scale as is and find out just how much gas is in your tank.
